Hyderabadi Audience Applaud Salaam Noni Appa

Fabindia presented Salaam Noni Appa, a play based on a short story from Twinkle Khanna’s new award winning bestseller titled ‘The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad’. Directed and acted by multi-talented artist Lillette Dubey, Salaam Noni Appa is an inspiring tale of two sisters trying to piece together their lives between loneliness and unexpected friendship laced with laughter, comedy and fun, as their lives go along. Salaam Noni Appa has characters of different age groups and the actors were attired in Fabindia apparel whilst the stage and the backdrop of the play also showcased some of Fabindia’s furniture and upholstery range.

Lillette Dubey said that theatre has always been her first love, as it offers infinite choices and possibilities whereas a film is very restraining unless, of course, it’s a masterpiece. “This particular story is close to my heart and I am sure the audience will be able to relate to it,” she said. Other prominent actors of the play were Darshan Jariwalla - acclaimed film, television and stage actor, and Jayati Bhatia.
