‘Indo-US trade will touch $ 500bn by 2019’

Prime Minister Modi was the fourth world leader President Donald Trump made a call to as soon as he assumed office as President of the US, Katherine Hadda, Consul General, Consulate General of United States of America, Hyderabad, said. She was the Guest of Honour for the Celebrations of 214st American Independence Day organised by Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), Telangana and AP Chapter at Hotel Marriott.

RBVVN Raju, Regional President of SIC, IACC, said that India and the US are targeting a four-fold jump in bilateral trade to $ 500 billion in the near future. “We have been working hard to reach the target and we are hopeful of reaching it by 2019,” Raju said. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest M. Mahendra Reddy, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, said both countries have strong ties. “Both have shared values. The US inspires us. It’s values and work culture is a great inspiration for all of us,” he said. Speaking further Katherine Hadda added that US-India relationship is stronger than ever.
