Bhavana Gowri Performs At Gudi Sambaraalu

Bharatanatyam dancer Bhavana Gowri performed as part of the Gudi Sambaraalu Festival during Maha Shivratri celebrations at Sri Dharmapuri Kshetram. She mesmerized the audience with her performance. She picked up those classical compositions which were apt for the occasion. Bhavana Gowri, a performing artiste and dance teacher, works with the esteemed Padmini Ravi Dance Academy in Bangalore. Disciple of Guru Padmini Ravi, Guru Rajeswari Sainath and Prabin Villareesh, Bhavana is a highly dedicated artiste whose focus is on presenting a new movement vocabulary in the realm of Bharathanatyam- An experience of Poetry in Motion.

She has completed her diploma in movement arts from Attakkalari where she trained in various movement arts like Kalaripayattu, Chau, Capoeira, Ballet, Contemporary Dance, and folk theatre like Koodiyattam. An alumnus of Christ University, Bhavana headed the cultural department and produced a piece for the University Dance Day- Nritta, 2016 during which she directed a team of 100 dancers. Bhavana has donned roles in dance ballets such as Krishna darshan and Lalitha Vaibhavam.
