Step in to Cayenne, an all-day diner, offering an eclectic selection of local and international cuisines. Located in the heart of the city at Erramanzil, Chef Vinay Kumar T says Cayenne offers a spice adding zing and pep to make everyone come alive with non-stop energy. Cayenne is open 24x7, and serves various menus at all times of the day with a few signature dishes at all time. One can step in for the three major meals in the day – Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. The 24x7 multi-cuisine restaurant has a seating arrangement of 80 approximately with the mesmerizing view of the city.

In today’s fast paced world, many begin work as early as 7 AM and end as late as 11.30 PM, to suit such kind of people Cayenne is the best place. In the Breakfast category, for choices, there is The Continental Breakfast, The Mercure Breakfast, Nawabi Nastha, A Healthy Start, The Asian Breakfast, Eggs to Order, American Style Pancake, Belgian Waffles and Brioche French Toast. Let us not forget the Indian specialties of Paratha, Poori Bhaji or the South Indian Breakfast of Dosa or Uthappam, Idly, Vada or Pongal. Also there is Fresh Seasonal Platter.

Being a South Indian and familiar with the South India dishes, one tried the Continental Breakfast to begin the day on a lighter note. The Continental Breakfast began with fresh watermelon juice. In the choice of oven fresh rolls, picked the Butter Croissants and Doughnuts that were served with butter, honey and marmalade. In the choice of cereals, there is Muesli, Wheat flakes, Corn flakes, all bran or Chocos with hot or cold milk with honey. You can end this with piping tea, coffee, hot chocolate or milk.

To give a taste of the local flavor at Breakfast time and for those who begin their day with non-vegetarian dishes, there is the Nawabi Nastha. “This also begins with fresh juice, Sheermal with option of Paya or Kheema. It is rounded off with Irani chaai or coffee served with Osmania biscuit,” says the chef.

If you are walking into the restaurant anytime from 11.30 AM to 10.30 PM, you can savour Salads. In the vegetarian section, there is Cayenne’s Italian salad that consists of ripe tomatoes, mozzarella, pepper confit, asparagus with basil balsamic. For the non-vegetarians, there is Cayenne’s Caesar and Salad Nicoise.

There are Sandwiches and Burgers, Pizzas and Pastas. The restaurant also serves Western and Pan Asian Cuisine. When asked to mention the signature dishes in the restaurant, the chef said that in the Starters, there was Olive Malai Paneer and Cayenne kup kebab. In the soups, it was Makai Shimla mirch Shorba, Paya, Tala Kheema in Pizza section, which is Lamb mince, chillies, bell peppers, cherry tomato, pecorina cheese and cilantro. In the Western delicacy, there is Tapenade gratinated sea bass, while in the Pastas there is Ragu fungi orecchiette, Chicken tikka risotto and Nawabi Spaghetti.

Cayenne

In the desert section, the signature dish is Rosatea consisting of chocolate mousse and raspberry jelly on pista almond sponge. He, however, is quick to add that all dishes here are made differently and have a separate taste from those made elsewhere.

Speaking about food available at all times, the chef said that in the Starters for non-vegetarians, there was BBQ Chicken Skewers – seared chicken strips with smoked BBQ sauce; and Tawa ke Jhinge – prawns coated with black pepper, dill leaves, fresh green chilli and garam masala cooked on griddle. “In the main course, there was Kodi kura, Gongura mamsam and Nellore chapalla pulusu, among many other cuisines” he said. Try out the Baked Gulkand Jamun – dumplings of cottage cheese stuffed with rose petal confit, topped with rabdi and baked, in the desert section. Buffet starts from Rs. 450 for Breakfast, Rs. 599 for Lunch & Dinner Rs. 799 plus taxes.
